Steamboat Springs has more than 120 kilometers of groomed trails located at a total of five centers - each providing breathtaking experiences for both business and leisure travelers. This is the site of the Mavericks Super pipe: 18-foot walls, 22-foot transitions, 56-feet wide and 500-feet long. Steamboat even went so far as to start snowmaking in this area so that Mavericks could be open for use earlier than most other pipes in Colorado.

Mavericks is maintained and produced by a state-of-the-art Zaugg 18-foot monster super pipe cutter. It is a machine which creates an elliptical shape that makes for smoother landings and an easier speed gain, resulting to more hits in each run through the pipe.
